VA SAVE Training
The VA has a program that helps soldiers coming home with depression, suicide urges and becoming a civilian. It is called S.A.V.E.
The VA has asked us if we can team up with them and let them give us a short training class on how we can help soldiers coming home, get them invovled with the VFW, actively, and also in their personal lives.
The training will be held at the post, with a luncheon. Please come and help us not only help these soldiers coming home, but help us fill our ranks.
New Year’s Eve Party
We are having a New Year’s Eve Party down at the post. Everyone is welcome. The party will from 6-8PM. The party is also POTLUCK. The post will provide refreshments and party favors.
We will also be celebrating a birthday of our Junior Vice Bob Berg! So please be ready to sing!
Food Basket Assembly
We are preparing the need food baskets on Monday starting at 9AM. Please come and help us put them together so the families can have Christmas Dinner. Thank you.
Post’s Christmas Dinner
Our annual dinner will again be held in the downstairs hall from 12-4PM. The event is potluck so please bring a side dish and dessert or whatever else you would like.
Cooties X-Mas Dinner
This years Cootie Christmas Dinner will be held at Maddy Alexander’s house at 1pm.
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony
We will be hold a Remembrance Ceremony to honor our men and woman who lost their lives or was effected by Pearl Harbor. As you know Pearl Harbor was the start of WWII. On December 7, 1941 Japan bombed and attacked our port killing over 4000 and wounding over 2000 people just in the first 90 minutes.
We all realize the effects that each war has had on us and our great nation. So please come down and join us, military or civilian and let us honor those that were lost of wounded in Pearl Harbor.
DAV X-Mas Dinner
DAV is having their annual X-Mas Dinner at the Senior + Center on Fairgrounds Road. Cost is $10. Christmas trees will be given along with other prizes.
Schedules
Post Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm
Post Members meet every Monday at 8:30AM for coffee and/or breakfast in the downstairs hall. Cost is DONATION only.
Ladies Auxiliary meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month at 7PM in the Main Hall.
COOTIES meeting will be the 1st Sunday of every month located in the downstairs hall. Potluck at 1PM, meeting at 2PM.
The Post Canteen will be open each Monday from 8:30AM-2:00PM for Cards, Commardarie and FUN!
