Remembering Our Members & Family
This page is dedicated to those members that have passed away.
Earl Pepper was a long life member of our post as well as American Legion Post 9. Earl passed away a few weeks ago due to natural causes. As you may know Earl was not in good health and had a heart attack earlier this year. He was recovering when he passed. Uta stated that the night Earl passed away he asked her for a beer. She gave him an O’Douls. Earl knew it was his time and he wanted to go out with a bang. He lived a full life. He will always be remembered in our hearts and minds. Rest in peace Earl and watch over us.
His Funeral Services were held at Virgil T. Golden’s Funeral Home on Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 1pm followed by a reception at VFW 661. The GSAVO Honor Guard gave full military honors as well as the Senate Aires provided some musical arrangements. It was a beautiful service.
