Color Guard
The GSAVO Color Guard was established in 1995 using American Legion Post #9 Color Guard as a base organization.
Since it’s beginning the Color Guard has participated in Veteran’s Funerals, Posted colors at many civic and political cermonies and conducted Patriotic programs for Veterans groups.
The Color Guard conducts their practice every month in order to practice their proficiency in military movements. Practice is scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9am, located in the Main Hall. Veterans interested in Color Guard activities are invited to the practice sessions. Post Members meet every Monday at 8:30AM for coffee and/or breakfast in the downstairs hall. Cost is DONATION only.
Ladies Auxiliary meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month at 7PM in the Main Hall.
COOTIES meeting will be the 1st Sunday of every month located in the downstairs hall. Potluck at 1PM, meeting at 2PM.
